Eight is a rowing apparel brand, they were looking at re-branding from their former name (Montague) to 'Eight' and upgrading their logo along with it. We looked at simplifying the logo to make a stronger mark and work at all sizes that would be needed. By taking away all complex elements of the logo It created a much more memorable mark and one that was more symbolic of a rowing eight. As well as the mark we also upgraded the typeface to a more modern style that will age well with the brand.
The re-design of the logo made the design modern and simplistic making it a more memorable mark that will fit more appropriately at alternate sizes for a multitude of applications.
